The DEMP2 fires blasts of energy. When hit with the blasts, the enemy not only takes damage, but cannot use their weapons until the energy wears off.
Primary Fire
The DEMP2 has a high rate of fire in primary mode. Direct hits from the energy balls causes a fair amount of damage and disables an enemies weapons for a few seconds.
Secondary Fire
The DEMP2 fires larger ion blasts in secondary mode. The gun can be charged to create a larger blast. Blasts do a high amount of damage and disable weapons for several seconds. Secondary blasts are best fired at the ground near an enemy because of their wider radius.
