Laming is an action that is forbidden on all but specified servers. Here are some specifics about what laming is.

Jedi/Sith

Laming is

  • Attacking a Jedi/Sith who has their saber unlit or
  • Attacking a Jedi/Sith who has their Chat Box up
  • Attacking a Jedi/Sith who is meditating.

In addition to these general rules it is not polite to force push someone, even though it does no damage. If they are not fighting them do not use the force on them.

Mercs

Laming is

  • Attacking a merc who has melee up and is using it.
  • Attacking a merc who has their Chat Box up.
  • Attacking a merc who is meditating

The rules for Laming mercs are more complicated than the ones for Jedi/Sith. Mercs do not have the ability to not have any weapon up, so having melee up is usually considered the same as saber unlit.

Always Remember

Laming people on purpose is not considerate as it is a cheap way to get points. Generally, according to Murphy's Law, the person you lame will turn out to be the server admin who was just sitting in the corner to chat. That would of course get you a warning and probably even an ejection from the server. That is not going to make your day as it didn’t make the day of the one you lamed.
